My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad 310 15iKB and it is eligible for the update. At present I am currently stuck at "downloading updates 0%" for Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709.

Okay sir, something unusual to me happened. While I was waiting for the Fall Creators download to proceed, information technology said that "they cannot download updates right now." And when pressed "Cheque FOR UPDATES" it said that my device is upward to engagement. I checked my update history and information technology said it failed to download. How tin I download the Fall Creators update now?

Run the troubleshooting link found in the same spot your seeing it says stuck. If it as to run as ambassador say yep, and so apply the recommended fixed. It volition take a fleck of fourth dimension to run this procedure just be patient. Once completed you can go back to update.

Wait 4-7 hours? We practise work on these computers. I've already lost two one-half days because of unsuccessful attempts.
And no option to postpone, just 1 selection "Hide". It but tries and tries automatically and locks the PC for a few hours randomly during the mean solar day.
Seriously frustrated!

Microsoft absolutely does not accept their user base seriously in whatsoever way. "Please wait four to vii hours" is a completely unacceptable respond from a group of people whose every FINAL reply is to get ordinary users mired downwards in the weeds of their god-atrocious registry and so frustrated that they buy a Mac next fourth dimension.
Style to become Microsoft!
I take exactly the same problem on a Surface Pro 4 and the outset question any "official" asked me was to cheque to meet if my computer was uniform or not?? Really? You fabricated the freeking computer.
Iv'eastward also now been 2 days without use of my Surface Pro iv (which was Merely reinitialized because I was HOPING to get some kind of meaningful battery life from information technology - I'm convinced I can't), and in the procedure of doing this final 1709 cumulative update for Dec, it has totally lost its mind.
I have tried EVERY play a trick on mentioned in all of these forums and one major flaw is that nether no circumstances will the windows update service ACTUALLY stop. It always errors out without stopping and to move forward with anything update related, you MUST reboot. I take also cleaned out the software distribution binder (except for the package it currently will not permit me to delete because its holding it open by the update process that will not stop)Every time I reboot, windows DOES Not evidence "update and restart"... only "update", only information technology goes into "Getting Windows Ready" anyway and this process cannot be stopped. Most iii hours later, it finally goes to a desktop with no message or notification of whatsoever kind, just the update never happens and I start the whole wheel again...
I've done this 5 times at present. Like I have said, I have tried every trick / method and powerscript to reset the windows update. Everything thats been mentioned in a windows forum and so far.

I've been a computer professional for 30 years and used every platform going back to Apple 2 and CP/Chiliad. I cut my eye teeth on windows and DOS and been there through thick and thin through the whole procedure and I recommend computers to co workers and friends on a daily basis and put my cervix out there for these kinds of upgrades...
Tell me, why shouldn't I just abandon it all for Macs? I know thats dirty word here, but I NEVER get this level of injure from an Apple device, especially for something I had no hand in creating at all. There is zilch well-nigh this current situation that is my fault in any style and I was just following normal update procedures and this microsoft built device running the latest microsoft software merely TOTALLY WIGS OUT. I know the things I have tried to fix this. There is no fashion at all I would EVER expect a normal user of business organisation apps to attempt to fix or run the procedures I have.
This is only nuts.

At that place is no troubleshooting link.
Just the configuring update 0% screen. This is my fifth attempt in the by week. I have work to do!!

Simply the configuring update 0% screen. This is my 5th attempt in the past calendar week. I have piece of work to practise!!
Facing the same result for 3 days now, tried to download and install the update manually besides. The issue still persists.
Restarting the arrangement takes 2-4 hours as its stuck at the "Getting windows fix for y'all" screen for that duration.
This is also a fresh install(1 week)
Unfortunately today is as well a Saturday, and so there is no 1 on the chat.
Hope people at Microsoft figure this out soon!
P.South - My pocket might feel lighter soon.
